May 5-6, Clarksville, AR. Nearly perfect water condition at Lake Ludwig.

This was the first NBRA race of the 2019 season for the What’s Up Doc? Race team. It was full of spills and thrills. Rick started it off with four first place wins in the A Hydro class. But his luck ran out in the B Hydro class when in the second he took a unexpected spill and was pitched out of his boat in turn one. His boat stayed up right but he had little success against Tara Cook who took four firsts in the 70 mile per hour class.

It was Braxton’s weekend when he swept eight overall class wins capturing 16 first place heat wins. He had a great battle in the D Hydro class against the defending D Hydro champion Todd Stone from Oklahoma City. Todd broke out front the first two laps, but Braxton used his turning skills and speed to pass Todd in the final lap to take the win.

He got a rare win in the D Runabout when Tim Snider driving Art Kampen’s runabout, jumped the gun in the first heat. Braxton drove his Tohatsu that was prepared by Tony Anderson of Hector, AR.
